Magic Link for Service Providers (Juniper)

Trades and service providers often work across many different platforms and systems. Asking them to manage yet another login credential creates friction and delays. The magic link removes that barrier — they click, they work, they're done.

When a service provider is assigned to a service request, they'll receive their assignment email with a new magic link. Clicking the link takes them directly to the service request in a clean, simplified view where they can get straight to work.

How It Works

1. Assign a service request to a service provider as normal
2. The service provider receives an assignment email with the magic link
3. They click the link in the email
4. They're taken directly to the service request — no login, no password required

That's it. Nothing changes on your end as a property developer or service manager.

Service Provider Account Requirements

Service providers must still be added to Juniper before they can be assigned to a service request. However their account does not need to be fully active; a service provider can receive a magic link and access the service request regardless of whether their account status is Created, Invited, or Active. They do not need to have completed the account activation process or set a password to use the magic link.

What Service Providers Can Do

From the magic link page, service providers can:

✅ View full service request details such as property, suite, issue description, and status
✅ Update the service request status (e.g. In Progress, Resolved)
✅ Send and receive messages
✅ View, download, and upload photos and documents
✅ Add notes to the service request

What Service Providers Can’t Do

The magic link provides a focused, limited view. Service providers cannot:

❌ Delete notes or documents — notes can be added but not deleted
❌ Reassign the service request to another provider
❌ Delete or close the service request
❌ Access other service requests or any other Juniper features
❌ View the broader platform dashboard or navigation

What They'll See

Service providers land on a clean, focused page showing just the assigned service request. A banner at the top confirms they're viewing without signing in and includes a security reminder not to share or forward the link, as anyone with it can view and update the request without a password.

There's no access to the broader Juniper platform, just the tools they need to complete the job.

If the link has expired, they'll see a clear message letting them know and can contact the property developer to resend the assignment.

Frequently asked questions

Who receives a magic link?
Assigned service providers only.

How long is the link valid?
30 days from assignment date

How do I resend the assignment link?
On the website, assign the service request just like you did the first time, assigning it to the same person. This will resend the link.

What does the notification email look like?
The same as always - the magic link automatically replaces the standard URL.

Is the homeowner’s contact information visible?
This depends on your property’s permission settings. If this feature is enabled, homeowner contact information is visible when using the magic link. If it is not, service providers are not provided homeowner contact information via the link or the traditional website experience.

How can a service provider see all of the service requests assigned to them?
Service providers can activate and sign in to their account to view all of the service requests assigned to them together in one place, or click each unique magic link to view requests one at a time.

Is there any impact for property developer users?
No, there are no changes to the property developer workflow.

Is there any impact for homeowner users?
No, homeowners continue to log in as normal.
