Aircall Account Setup for Spark

Create your Aircall account

Go to the Aircall sign-up page and create an account. Use the same email you use for Spark, or you will not be able to integrate your account.

Complete the company details and verification phone number, then choose your country/region and plan. The plan you choose will depend on your business needs - make sure you choose a plan that will support your desired uses:

  Essentials Professional
Minimum User Licenses 3 3
Included Numbers (free) 1 1
Includes Messaging API* No Yes
Advanced Sales Features No Yes

* The messaging API is required to log messages in Spark.

If you plan to bring existing phone numbers to Aircall, make sure you check portability first.

Add or bring your phone numbers

You have two options: purchase new numbers in Aircall or port your current numbers

Purchase new numbers

From the Admin Dashboard, purchase a new number. Only admins can buy numbers. Country rules may apply.

Port existing numbers

If you want to keep your current numbers, follow Aircall’s porting process. You must have an active Aircall plan. Your new provider (Aircall) works with your losing carrier to complete the transfer.

Configure each number and associate users

Aircall routes inbound calls only to users or teams added to a number’s Call Distribution. If no one is assigned, inbound calls won’t ring for any user.

Confirm users have access to the number (outbound)

  • In the Admin Dashboard, open Numbers → select a number → Teams & UsersCall and data accessAdd a user
  • This grants the user access for outbound calls and data, but not inbound ringing yet

Set up inbound call distribution (required for ringing)

  1. In Numbers, select the number.
  2. Open the Call Distribution tab and click Edit.
  3. Add the users and/or teams that should receive inbound calls to this number.

New users must be assigned here to make or receive calls (SMS eligibility varies by line).

Why this matters: A user is considered part of inbound distribution only when they are assigned directly to the number’s call distribution or belong to a team that is. Otherwise, inbound calls to that number will not ring for them.
