If your project uses the digital contracts feature, contracts can be generated within Spark so that they populate with the required information and then digitally signed in person, sent by email for signatures or a combination of both if some signatories are present and others are not.
To generate contract files, navigate to the correct contract page and scroll down to the Files section. Click the micromenu and select Write Contract.
Next, select the appropriate primary sales agreement. Use the preview feature to confirm the correct document has been selected then click Save to generate the primary sales agreement. Once the primary sales agreement has been generated, click the micromenu and select Write PDF to generate additional addenda as applicable to the specific deal being written. Continue this process until all necessary documents have been generated.
This is a good opportunity to review the files to ensure all required information is present and correct. If it is not, delete the affected files, make the necessary edits to the information, and regenerate the files. Once you have reviewed the files and confirmed they are ready to be signed, send the documents for signatures – see Sending Contract Documents for Signatures for more information.
Note: it is typically considered best practice to generate all documents that are being signed and send them together in one envelope, but this does not preclude you from sending documents for signatures at a later date. For example, the purchase agreement and some addenda may all be signed on the contract date, and then several months later, you could generate and send a receipt to reflect the payment of a deposit.
