Inbox Management & Sending Emails

Quickly focus on a specific community with project-based inboxes, or view everything at once with a global inbox - the choice is yours.

To view your inbox, click the envelope icon to the immediate left of the Settings button. If you only have one project synced to an email, you will have one inbox, but if you have multiple projects synced to an email or multiple emails synced to different projects, you will have a global inbox that can be filtered to view project-based inboxes. You can also filter by starred (important) emails, sent emails, drafts and archived emails.

Smart Sidebar

The Smart Sidebar contains a range of widgets to view and update additional information about a contact without having to leave the inbox. Simply click on an email to open a viewing modal and the smart sidebar.

If the email sender is a contact within a project you are associated with, the Smart Sidebar will display their basic contact information. If your role permissions allow, click View to view the contact’s complete profile.

If the email sender is not a contact within a project you are associated with, you can add them to the appropriate project directly from the Smart Sidebar.

Sending an Email

To send a new email, click the pencil and paper icon.

If you have more than one email address synced to your account, select the address from which you wish to send the email.

If the recipient is already a contact in your project, begin typing their name or email address in the to field and select the contact as they pop up. If the recipient is not already a contact in your project, type their complete email address. Add multiple recipients in the to field if necessary, or add recipients in the CC or BCC fields.

If you have one or more email signatures saved, select the appropriate signature from the dropdown list to insert it.

If your team has saved snippets for common emails, you can insert a snippet by choosing from the dropdown list.

Type a subject line in the subject field, then type your email or edit your snippet in the body section. You can also format text, insert links and photos, and add attachments. Once finished, click Send Email.

Replying to an Email

To reply to an email, begin by clicking on it to open it if it is not already open. Click the left-facing arrow to reply to the sender or choose the right-facing or double left-facing arrow from the dropdown list to forward or reply-all, respectively.
