How to Assign Warranty Requests (Juniper)

The service request assignment feature in the Juniper platform enables property managers to efficiently delegate tasks to service providers, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Assigning a Service Request Individually

  • Open the individual service request you wish to assign.
  • Change the status to ‘Assigned’.
  • A confirmation popup will appear; click ‘OK’ to proceed.
  • Select a Service Provider from the list of existing contacts. If no service providers are listed, add them as a contact first.
  • Once selected, click ‘Assign’ at the top right of your screen to complete the process.


Step 2: Assigning Service Requests in Bulk

  • Navigate to the ‘Service Request’ tab.
  • Use the checkboxes to select all service requests you want to assign to a trade.
  • Click the ‘Bulk Status Update’ button.
  • Choose ‘Assigned’ and follow the same process as individual assignments.


Step 3: Ensuring Service Providers Are Set Up Correctly

  • Ensure that your service providers are added as contacts in Juniper.
  • Select the ‘Service Provider’ user type and ensure their company name is filled out
  • Lastly, fill out the ‘services provided’ which are the same as the ‘issue type’ from service requests
    • If only the ‘electrical’ service provider is selected, this trade can only be assigned ‘electrical’ service request issue types
    • We recommend selecting the ‘general’ service for all trades as this is the default issue type
