Key Pickup (Juniper)
Juniper allows you to complete key pickups digitally, eliminating the need for paper-based processes. By using Juniper, homeowner and suite information is preloaded, making key pickups faster and more efficient for your team. This guide outlines the steps to complete a key pickup in Juniper and ensure all necessary details are properly documented.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Access the Key Pickup Feature
- Open Juniper in your web browser (key pickups cannot be completed in the walkthrough app).
- Select the appropriate property and suite you will be conducting the key pickup for.
- Click the key icon at the top right of your browser.
Step 2: Review the Suite Details
- Suite details must be filled out prior to completing a key pickup form on Juniper as the form will take information stored within the suite details.
- To review these details, click on the pencil icon to the right of the key pickup icon.
- While we recommend ensuring all suite details are accurate, only the following will appear on the key pickup form:
- Suite Number
- Civic Address
- Key Fobs (particular # of a fob)
- Number of Keys
- Important Documents
- You can select certain documents to be flagged as important when uploading documents. These important documents will appear on the key pickup form.
- Service Requests
- All Service Requests submitted to date will appear on the key pickup form, with a brief description and current status. Similar to updating the suite details, we recommend updating the status of service requests before the key pickup to ensure they are up-to-date.
Step 3: Additional/Custom Key Pickup Details
- The text that appears on your key pickup form can be customized to allow for flexibility.
- By using the ‘Other Details’ option, we can add a text & associated value that will be added to the key pickup form. A common example is counting the number of mailbox keys a home will receive.
- Detailed key pickup instructions can be added to help homeowners review important items after they’ve received their keys.
Step 4: Ensure the Warranty Start Date is Accurate
- While you are already reviewing the suite details, it’s a perfect time to confirm that the warranty start date is correct for this particular unit.
- The warranty start date should match the completion date.
- You can also add in a warranty policy number.
- Don’t forget to save any updates before proceeding.
Step 5: Sign and Complete the Key Pickup
- Scroll down to the signature section.
- Sign using the input field, check the acknowledgement checkbox, and click "Insert".
- The signatures of the property developer account and primary homeowner will pre-populate.
- To sign, use your mouse or cursor to draw a signature. Alternatively, you can use the text button to fill out your name.
- You will need to acknowledge and click ‘insert’ to add your signature.
- Once you have added your signature, you’ll see the ‘insert’ button text change to ‘added’.
- Once all required signatures are added, click "Submit" to complete the process.
- Both the homeowner and the property developer will receive a confirmation email.
- A PDF copy of the completed key pickup will be automatically saved in the Manuals & Documents section of the suite.
Summary of Key Steps:
- Open Juniper in a web browser (not the walkthrough app).
- Click the key icon to begin the key pickup process.
- Review suite details and update any missing fields if necessary.
- Sign and complete the key pickup by clicking "Submit".
- A confirmation email is sent, and a PDF is saved in the suite’s documents.
Conclusion
By following these steps, you can efficiently complete key pickups in Juniper, ensuring accurate documentation and reducing administrative workload. In the future, key pickups will also be available in the app for offline use.
